The Centre has been getting into the spirit of the festive season with its very own Christmas Market and the annual Working Wonders Christmas Party.
The Working Wonders Christmas Party is always a popular event attended by members of our Community Care projects and this year was no exception. With the generosity of Rothschild who kindly provided a delicious festive buffet, presents and a group of fabulous volunteers (who really knew how to party!) the day was a hit with all. The Rothschild Choir came to sing and everyone joined in with the traditional carols including Little Town of Bethlehem and Hark the Herald Angels Sing. After some festive food the dance floor was filled with smiling faces as volunteers, staff and members all joined together to dance the afternoon away! The day was topped off by a visit by the one and only Father Christmas who, with the help of a few Christmas Elves, gave out presents to all of the party guests.
On Thursday 15th December Proshanti held a Christmas market with an interfaith twist in the courtyard of the Centre; this was the first Christmas fair in a few years and even Santa came to visit! There were lots of stalls including: cake and biscuit decorating, henna and face painting, Hanukah stall, interfaith tree decoration, candles, cards and mulled wine! Visitors warmed themselves with hot chocolate whilst enjoying live performances from two bands.
