A Royal audience at the Royal Parks Half Marathon

26 October 2012

On a sunny October Sunday 12,500 runners headed to Hyde Park ready to embark on the Royal Park Foundation Half Marathon.

Despite the rain of the days before, the sun shone on our team of five runners as they followed the beautiful 13.1mile course. They passed through some of London's historic Royal Parks and iconic landmarks such as the Royal Albert Hall, Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. As the flag was flying at Buckingham Palace showing the Queen was home we are sure that she was watching our runners as they passed by.

"Thanks again for allowing me the opportunity to run for you this weekend. Whilst it may sound odd, I really did enjoy the run and hope the money I raised will go some way to assisting those that need it." Matthew

We would like to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to our team of wonderful runners: Gustina, Darren, Tom, Matthew and Chris for all of their hard work in the months leading up to race day and for raising a wonderful £1400 so far. We would also like to say Thank You to White & Case, Lloyds and Barclays for their generous donations towards our runners' totals.
