Change is a good thing... without change, we can't develop, and problems remain unsolved. But change can often be unsettling, even daunting. People who want to change their lives often want advice and support on how to go about it - especially if they have been stuck in the same situation for a long time, or if they want to make a very big change.
That is why the Bromley by Bow Centre offers advice, information and guidance as part of its core services to the community. Advice that comes in all different shapes and sizes, and is available in lots of different ways. Seeking advice is not negative or a sign of weakness - in fact, it is overwhelmingly positive, and something we could all learn to do more.
The link on the left is about our Welfare and Benefits Advice, a specialist service that works with many of the most vulnerable members of our community. Please click on the link for more details.
But there are lots of other ways that people can get advice at the Bromley by Bow Centre, such as:
Our Learning Ambassadors can help people find the right study option for them, not just the courses we offer ourselves but all sorts of other courses as well.
The Children's Centre offers specific advice and support around parenting, as well as being linked to our advice team at the Centre.
Beyond the Barn offers top-class business advice to social enterprises, and is advising organisations across East London on how to promote social enterprise.
Our consultancy business, Community Remedies, advises all sorts of people on how to promote social regeneration in other communities in the UK and internationally.
The GPs at the Health Centre specialise in giving advice to people.
