Apax Foundation – Supporting Social Enterprise in East London

Apax Foundation’s core focus is the support of entrepreneurial, social investment and educational initiatives that work towards the alleviation of poverty in deprived communities worldwide. The Foundation are investing in social enterprise in East London through the Bromley by Bow Centre, supporting the employment of local people, backing entrepreneurship and enabling the community to move beyond deprivation and become a strong economic player.

Apax Foundation are supporting two key social enterprises:

  • Investment in and consulting support for Inside Out, which provides health and wellbeing for the local community including massage, life coaching, yoga, health and exercise
  • Setting up the Apax Foundation prize which will invest in a new, start-up social enterprise from 2008.

Supporting social enterprise in this way through partnering with the Bromley by Bow Centre gives Apax Foundation the opportunity to support social enterprise in a vibrant and enterprising community and to create new enterprising and entrepreneurial ways of thinking. Funding from Apax Foundation supports local people to find creative solutions to many of the problems that they face.
