A joint social enterprise with PoLLeN, where art and design meets horticulture
Artychoke provides a range of art and design activities for people with learning and physical disabilities, working with elements of landscape and nature to develop products for sale. It is a branch of the horticultural group PoLLeN and is run together with other creative enterprises at the Bromley by Bow Centre.
Participants are local people with learning and physical disabilities. At Artychoke the wellbeing of participants is improved through strengthening confidence and skills by working collaboratively with artists to design and produce a high quality range of ceramics, printed linen, homeware and other hand-designed products together with seasonal wreaths and flower arrangements.
We currently have three outlets for our products - Jane Newbery of Dulwich Village, Oak Studio of Hampstead as well as our very own Working Wonders Shop in the centre cafe. The product range changes seasonally with new designs being introduced all the time. For samples of what you can buy directly from us, please see below.
To find out more about the project or to order products please email Lisa or call 020 8709 9714.
Napkins, placemats, teatowels, runners, mugs and ceramic coaster tiles are sold and produced to order in the mixed leaf or fig range.
