Beyond Business is a regeneration programme with a difference - we launch and incubate new social enterprises and provide hands-on practical support to ensure their success in the early years of trading.  Based in East London, our mission is to generate wealth and jobs in some of the most deprived communities in the UK.

A realistic business model combined with a successful track record has meant that since 2005, Beyond Business has been the catalyst for the launch of 28 successful new social enterprises with a combined turnover of more than £3 million and has created over 200 new jobs. 60% of the social enterprises are BME led and 20% are run by women.

Potential entrepreneurs are invited to produce a business plan and present to a 'Dragon's Den' panel.  Successful applicants will be those who demonstrate initiative, creativity, sound plans and a genuine commitment to the social enterprise ethos.  Every business makes a direct contribution back into the community.

We provide fledgling enterprises with key support including business planning, strategic, financial and marketing reviews, training and development, promotion and events, volunteering opportunities, pro-bono legal advice and small set-up grants.

One of the social enterprises launched through the Programme, Bikeworks CIC, was awarded Best New Social Enterprise in UK 2009 and named Best Social Enterprise at the PwC Private Business Awards 2011.

We also help Community Hubs and other organisations to become more entrepreneurial and are always looking for businesses and partners who would like to join us.
