The Bromley by Bow Centre developed along business principles: identify a need, and then work to fulfil that need. The fact that these needs - such as a safe, pleasant park for children to play in - had gone unmet for so long in Bromley by Bow presented challenges, but it also presented opportunities.
Along the way, we helped to define the term social enterprise... enterprise for a social purpose.
The Centre has set up social enterprises which become sustainable businesses and foster a spirit of enterprise across the community, and generate profits that are invested back into the Centre to fund other services. These are:
Community Remedies offers tours and seminars at the Centre, and consultancy services.
Green Dreams is an award winning landscape and design business, that is transforming public spaces across London.
Lekker Design is a graphic design agency that specialises in producing distinctive, high quality work.
Signs of Life works with young people to design and create public art and installations.
Choose on of our social enterprises as your next supplier and you will find original products, excellent value, top quality service and a passion for pleasing our customers.
