The ESOL Health and Humour project is a partnership with Tower Hamlets Primary Care Trust. Working with a cartoonist, the Bromley by Bow Centre is developing a range of entry-level English language materials which help people who have English as a second language to understand a range of health isssues and access health services available to them, such as screening.
Piloted in English classes at the Centre, the materials, including student readers, posters, cartoons and tutor workbooks will eventually cover a wide range of topics and will be published and distributed around the borough.
More information about the project will be posted here soon! In the meantime, please contact the Learning team, learning@bbbc.org.uk if you would like more information.
