Lehman Brothers - Hallsville School Playground
The Signs of Life public art social enterprise worked with Lehman Brothers' graduate recruiting team in summer 2007 to transform the playground of Hallsville Primary School in Newham. A group of 70 summer interns (penultimate year undergraduates spending their summer working at the Canary Wharf investment bank) spent the day onsite, creating a nature-themed mural that included elements to promote literacy and numeracy. In addition, volunteers built a small nature garden that complemented the theme of the mural. The school and children were delighted with their new playground and are hoping to work with Signs of Life again soon.
