Signs Of Life has worked with a range of secondary schools across London. Pupils have produced public exhibitions, ceramics, prints, sculptures, drawings, murals, banners, photographs and mixed media work.
In more recent years Signs Of Life has worked in conjunction with schools to support the curriculum, contribute towards GCSE art exams and bring the experience of prolific international artists to enrich and broaden the pupils' horizons. We recognise that art is a valuable learning tool that is cross-curricular, excellent for team-building and helps pupils to find their voice and express themselves constructively. Additionally, Signs Of Life offer to work with more challenging pupils to create a shared sense of learning and achievement. An example of this is the celebrated community mural as shown below.
The 'Our People Our Planet' mural was a project with Signs Of Life, Eastend Homes and George Green's School. It formed part of a housing estate regeneration programme and was made possible with generous backing and assistance from Morgan Stanley.
