Here are two digital designs taken from a completed set of ten that were produced for a series of large PVC banners. These were designed in collaborative workshops with Signs of Life youth workers, pupils from St Paul's Way School, young artists from Cafe Reconnect and people from the local community. Signs of Life used the workshops to encourage debate, generate ideas, create a sense of ownership for the local area and to help young people develop their graphic art skills.
The banners hang from the fence of the school, facing out to the main road, to help raise public awareness of the major transformations happening in the on-going regeneration of the area.
A celebratory event was held at the school, with an address given by Lord Andrew Mawson, key contributor for the plans of the local area and the wider 'Water City' plans for the region.
