“I have been coming to the Bromley by Bow Centre for about two and a half years; I originally came here to do gardening.
I got a Level One qualification in gardening. Peter, the trainer, was brilliant! All I had to do was four mandatory units and a few others to gain a diploma and I worked at my own pace, I got the diploma last year.
The lady who ran the project Lisa, encouraged me to do other things other than gardening like flower arranging, art, cooking, exercise classes and meeting people. I have met many people since coming to the Centre including a lady called Maria and we fell in love.
We help with flower arranging on a Monday afternoon and we help with the Social Care members. I always make them a cup of tea and ask how they are. You get a lot of pleasure being in their company.
The staff are all so friendly and do what they can to help, I very much enjoy coming to the Bromley by Bow Centre.”
