“I have been helped to build my confidence by such nice and helpful people”

Themes: Training; skills building; confidence; connecting with others

Jemma first got involved with the Centre a few years ago from the East London Foundation Trust when she joined a Para Legacy Agents programme on lifestyle management.

She has always been interested in sport and football but Jemma has had to contend with a challenging personal background and was unable to complete the course when she relocated out of the area in the North of England.

After coming back to London, she became involved with the Centre again and began a course called Get Involved Community Activator which increases training and work readiness for young people and improves health, wellbeing and confidence.

The course helped build her skills and confidence and Jemma passed the course easily. In the process she has made new friends and developed a new social network.

“The Centre helped me build my confidence. Such nice people, so helpful.”
