Essential skills and knowledge for Link Workers – a five-session course

The Bromley by Bow Centre have developed a suite of online training units based on five different topics. The full suite can be delivered to organisations employing link workers, and is a great way for link workers from a similar geography to enrol onto the course. The training is designed for link workers to adapt their holistic way of working to an online setting in the context of the recovery period of COVID-19.

This training can also be tailored to suit whole primary care teams to include, receptionists, care navigators, care coordinators, health coaches, community navigators and other similar roles.

We cover the following topics based on remote working, and working during COVID-19 crisis and recovery period:

  1. Supporting vulnerable people over the phone
  2. Behaviour change and motivational interviewing approaches when working remotely
  3. Peer Supervision
  4. Data outcomes, impact and evaluation
  5. Community based provision when working remotely
