Long-standing supporter Graham Spooner shares the reason he and his wife have remembered our community in their will

“I first came across the Bromley by Bow Centre over 20 years ago when I attended a lecture by its founder, Lord Andrew Mawson at the RSA.

Through my access to education and enterprise – opportunities not available to many of the people BBBC supports – I was able to establish my career. I became involved with the Centre’s work, providing pro bono advice and then becoming a donor.

I have been impressed by how the Centre has developed since, supporting its local community – including helping many people with the skills and confidence they need to establish successful careers themselves – and as a role model for others.

The opportunities I benefitted from have enabled me to support good causes with which I have empathy. It is for these reasons that my wife and I have decided to provide a legacy to the Bromley by Bow Centre to help them carry on their good work. I would encourage you to do so as well.”
