The Summer of Wellbeing Festival at the end of August was a special day at the Centre – there was so much happening. Children’s games, face painters and bouncy castle, art sessions and activities for adults. Those feeling active tried Zumba and flash mob dancing or took a turn on a Bikeworks Cycle Taxi.
There were many stalls with health and wellbeing advice, a Covid vaccination bus and lots of visits from the local services, including our sister Health Partnership and the community police who joined in the fun.
People were keen to connect and wanted to find out what was going on, both during the festival and throughout the Autumn at the Centre. There were many happy and helpful conversations with one resident saying it was Just amazing to see the community back together after Covid… just like old times. Find out more about what happened in Conversation Corner.
It was a pleasure to put on the festival with the support of Well-One.
We would like to thank our UnityWorks café on site, our local Tesco Superstore for their kind donation and SOUL for dedicating much-appreciated hot food for hungry visitors.
