Our Parents and Carers Group had an inspiring session on Weds 8th February, the first event of 2023.

The group took part in floristry arranging tuition, led and funded by Megan Kavanagh from Megzi Pearls, a local social entrepreneur who aims to empower women and mothers across London.  Everyone learned how to make their own Valentine’s hand-tied bouquets.

On the day, beautiful flower arrangements were made and new people joined the group.  New friendships have now begun.

No flowers were wasted. Any extra flowers left over on the day were donated to decorate the Centre’s barn for our Community Voting day celebration event.

The next coffee morning session will take place on Weds 8th March 10am – 12pm.

We are expecting a visit from Megan again soon, next time to do a Mother’s Day floristry session. The sessions are free but numbers will be limited, due to capacity and materials.  If you are interested in attending this session please contact mandy.harrilal@bbbc.org.uk
