Community Day of Learning and Action!

On Tuesday 30th October, if you had walked in to the Church space at the Bromley by Bow Centre you would have been greeted with smiling faces, a warm buzz and a real sense of community. This was the first, of hopefully many, Community Day of Learning and Action (CDLA).

Taking action on high energy bills

The 21st to 28th of January is Big Energy Saving Week, a national event run by Citizens Advice, aimed at helping people to reduce their energy costs through switching and saving. We are launching a new energy drop-in service which will help local residents to access the best deals, discounts and information to help them save money on their bills.

New podcast series delves into the experiences of our Beyond Business alumni

It’s not easy building a business from the ground up. In the UK, only about half of new businesses are still trading after three years. In this new podcast series we will hear from social entrepreneurs about their journeys and the lessons they’ve learnt along the way.

The Collection 2018

Back by popular demand, The Collection 2018 will be our biggest celebration of art in the community yet. Come and enjoy our annual celebration from 6th-9th December, with our resident artists and the community at the Bromley by Bow Centre. This year’s event will run for an extended period, with open studios, a Christmas market and festive launch event not to be missed.

We are incredibly proud to report that this year, five of our Beyond Business alumni made the NatWest WISE100 list. The NatWest WISE100 (Women in Social Enterprise 100), produced annually by Pioneers Post in partnership with NatWest bank, recognises the most inspiring and influential women in social enterprise, impact investment and mission-driven business.
