A big congratulations to members of our indefatigable team who have completed our 280 Challenge to raise much needed funds for the Centre, applying our motto, Step by Step, it’s Possible.

During the month of February, each one of the team walked, ran or cycled 280 kilometres, the equivalent of all the roads in our borough of Tower Hamlets.

Some did the challenge in Tower Hamlets or other parts of London and others from their current home location, as far away as the east coast of Scotland.

Other staff members led star jump challenges – doing 280 star jumps every single day for 28 days.

But the real star turn goes to two year-old Sophie who completed a personal best, walking 2.8km!

The challengers have raised over £25,000 (including gift aid) which will be used to fund essential services and support for our community that has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

The fundraising page is open for short while longer for anyone wanting to make a final donation for a quite remarkable team effort.

A big high-five to: Simon Bevan, Michael Barnett, Catherine Tollington, Alan Woolston, Alison Crompton, Colin King, Dom Roberts, Jessica Walker, Jolanda Gjoni, Rob Trimble, Naomi Mead, Jagdish (Ricky) Sian and Sophie Miller (aged two).
