Michael Barnett, is pulling out all the stops to run the Brighton marathon on 12th September, 2021, having only recently been allocated a place.

“When the pandemic put a stop to large scale fundraising events like marathons, an important stream of unrestricted funding was also diminished for charities like ours” Michael said. “I hope to raise funds that mean Centre staff can do even more to support our community.”

The Bromley by Bow Centre holds a unique local place; supporting families, young people and adults of all ages to learn new skills, improve their health and wellbeing, find employment and develop the confidence needed to achieve remarkable things.

The impact of the pandemic is being felt disproportionately by our local neighbourhoods and funds raised help offer more services that empower people to take control of their own health and be a catalyst for change and recovery in their communities.

Can you help Michael reach his target of £1000? Every pound will help transform lives and support those who are most vulnerable.
