Our local community carers group came to the Centre to make beautiful seasonal wreaths for their doors using greenery donated from our neighbours Sharon and Tina from Kingsley Hall. The group enjoyed all being together again after so long.

The session was tutored by our horticulturalist Sharon. Local parent Muna made an amazing marble cake to share with everyone on the day and Ricky, one of our community connectors, made some warming mulled apple juice.

Whilst they were busy, the group talked about how it felt being back together again after being apart for so long.

“Joyous, entertaining, happy and smiley, relieved and joyful, it’s been a fun day, feels like children playing together, wonderful to be together again finally, connection! Overwhelmed and reconnected”

These powerful words had staff from the Centre feeling the same way as they worked alongside the group.

The next coffee morning for carers (and non-carers) will be held on Wednesday 12th January 2022, 10.00-12pm in the Welcome Hub.
