The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day is ‘mental health in an unequal world’. This theme is relevant to many people in our community as support to maintain good mental health is more important than ever.
Workshops to support mental health – next date
Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies have joined with the Centre’s Mental Health Community Connectors and East London Foundation Trust to run monthly sessions to talk about all things mental health. These online workshops offer a space to talk, reflect and practical tips on how to build resilience and connect with others.
Next event: Thursday 28th October 1.30pm until 3pm – Resilience and wellbeing
This webinar will be aimed at anyone who struggles to cope with challenges and finds it difficult to ‘bounce back’ from setbacks. We will be discussing the five domains of resilience; purpose, self, connections, body and mind.
This is an online group for Tower Hamlets residents over the age of 18 and will take place over zoom.
Social prescribing
The Centre’s social prescribing services provide a wide variety of support for mental health. Our link workers give you time to explore what’s important to you; help you identify issues and challenges and find services and activities to support you in your community.
Webinar: Integrating mental health support: A round table event for practitioners
This online event on 18th November is being run by BBBC Insights in conjunction with East London Foundation Trust. It will enable health and social care providers to explore opportunities with experts from the voluntary sector to improve access to community mental health services and support.
Attendees will get an opportunity to share experiences of cross-sector working, consider service development and design and how to shape future community mental health services to achieve the best outcomes for individuals and communities.
