Professional care workers harvest abundant goodwill

The Bromley by Bow Centre held a special event to mark today’s Professional Care Workers Day. It was held to celebrate and say thank you to the Centre’s social care team and to previous members of staff who were invited to attend.

The event was combined with the Centre’s annual Harvest Festival and run by the Social Care and Horticulture service teams. Together with members of the community, they used fruits, vegetables and herbs from our community garden to make an afternoon tea for around 40 people from the social care community.

And we are really impressed with the member of staff who made this incredible commemorative cake for the occasion!

The weekly arts group made decorations and all the individual letters seen in the picture held up by the participants. It was a fun event celebrating the amazing work carried out by the staff and volunteer team working daily with people with learning and physical disabilities and mental health support needs.

The day was kindly supported by some family members and six volunteers from Investec who helped out for the day.
