Our marketing and comms lead, Janet has managed to keep silent for 35 hours in a bid to raise funds for the Centre; one hour for each of the Centre’s 35 years working in and with the community, to transform lives.
When she could speak again, Janet told us that her friends, family and colleagues were delighted with the challenge, many sponsoring generously with a wish to extend the quiet period.
“This proves you don’t need to get involved in extreme challenges to raise money for such an amazing charity. Mind you, keeping totally quiet is extreme for me”.
Janet’s efforts raised over £1300 for the Centre to help us keep services running and provide support to our community. Why not take on a fundraising challenge of your own to help the Centre? Find out more here.
35 years, 350 days, let’s raise £350,000
Protecting and growing the services and activities that support our community to stay connected and healthy is one of the central aims of the 35th anniversary year campaign.
Your generosity can make a real difference. Every contribution will help our local community improve their health and wellbeing, learn new skills, and create a better life for themselves and their families. If you’d like to contribute to our goal, please donate.
