Mind the Dash is a powerful new film made by a group of people about their experiences of living with and beyond cancer. It is an intimate story that is a tribute to the power of collaborative film making.
Over the course of 3 months, 11 people who were living with and beyond cancer teamed up to create a film about some of the experiences they have endured throughout their diagnosis, treatment and recovery. The film follows three of the directors at different stages of their journey.
Gently and honestly, they explored each other’s stories and took to the streets to talk to others who had been in a similar situation. This film shows how people bond over shared experience and find strength in taking control over their own narrative.
The film’s production was funded by Macmillan Cancer, as part of our Macmillan Social Prescribing Service, which helps people living with cancer to identify and access local activities and resources to support them and help move forward, during and after their cancer treatment.
