Pulling threads
Pulling Threads is a fabric art group that meets every Monday morning.
Skills are learned and developed through design, drawing and different fabric techniques including appliqué, knitting and rug-making. Making meaningful work develops the imagination, can be a common ground for people of different backgrounds to get to know each other and can help to alleviate everyday pressures and anxieties.
Our tutor, Sheenagh McKinlay, creates a positive class environment, where the group dynamic also provides the opportunity to form supportive relationships and friendships.
The Pulling Threads group exhibit their work regularly in different locations in the Bromley by Bow Centre and elsewhere in east London.
