Social Prescribing Link Worker Training Manager

Deadline: 5pm, 23rd October, 2020

Interviews: 29th October, 2020

The Bromley by Bow Centre is a vibrant community centre in the heart of Tower Hamlets. The Centre is a charity with a national and international reputation for its innovative work in inspiring and empowering people from the local community, using a unique model of integration. It supports over 2,000 people each month.

We are recruiting a Social Prescribing Link Worker Training Manager to lead the development and delivery of the Bromley by Bow Centre’s Social Prescribing Link Worker training programme.

The Bromley by Bow Centre, with its close partnership with the Bromley by Bow Health Partnership, has been a pioneer in social prescribing and working to support people in the community to improve their social determinants health. The Centre has created a successful social enterprise approach to designing, marketing and delivering link worker training. This has been developed in partnership with our in-house practitioners and professional trainers as well as academic and business partners, these include practitioners in other locations across the UK and customers of the courses such as link workers and commissioners.

Demand for courses is growing and we are in the process of developing an ambitious business plan for the national roll-out of these products at scale. We are now looking for a manager to lead the next stage of this work, including its successful marketing and delivery as well as looking at further development opportunities.
