Volunteer with us

Volunteers make a very valuable contribution to our work, from local people volunteering as part of their training through to established business people contributing their time to support our work. Find out about how you can volunteer with the Bromley by Bow Centre.

Volunteer with the Bromley by Bow Centre

Social care volunteer

Our Social Care service promotes inclusion, based on the needs of adults with a range of learning, physical, mental health support needs as well as older people. We help individuals to live as part of the community and as independently as possible. The service promotes independence and learning through activities and gives people the ability to develop new social networks and friendships.

Community Advisory Board member at Bromley by Bow Health

We are recruiting a group of enthusiastic people to become part of a Community Advisory Board at our sister organisation, Bromley by Bow Health. This group represents the crucial voice of patients in the work we do. They will help us find a new way of working together; taking all life factors into account.

Board Members will work alongside the organisation, helping to identify areas that need improvement. They will be able to guide our decision making and make change happen in many ways including how we use information, our governance and how to support local people to feel more in control of their health and wellbeing. Bow Foodbank at the Centre

There are many opportunities for volunteering in the foodbank and behind the scenes. If you have a few hours to spare every week (or even every other week) Bow Foodbank at Bromley by Bow Centre would very much welcome your help.  Volunteers are required on Mondays during the Foodbank and on Sundays for preparation.  There are also opportunities at another Bow Foodbank site in Bethnal Green on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

In the foodbank, you can help with packing bags, receiving deliveries, checking stock, greeting and registering clients, help on our hospitality table or distributing bags to clients. Find out more here.
